Abstract

Tracking down Dr Louisa Shobhini Ponnampalam is much like spotting a rare marine mammal along our coastline - a fleeting glimpse of her before she disappears into the vast blue. She emerges every now and then, only to dive back into what she loves most - riding the waves, scanning the horizon for dolphin, whales and other sea creatures.
