abstrak
Through three regional questionnaires, four Regional Technical Consultations, and a series of technical workshops, the project has collected, compiled, analyzed and assessed a wide range of information from ASEAN Member States, including the status of implementation of the RPOA-Capacity, fishing capacity, stock status, and fisheries information systems. Given the diversity of national systems and data availability across Member States.
Penerangan
This project also falls under the ASEAN-Japan MIDORI Cooperation Plan. Under this Plan, Japan and ASEAN are working together toward sustainable and resilient agriculture and food systems, and this project makes an important contribution to the sound management of fishery resources.
ASEAN has also entered a new phase under the ASEAN Food, Agriculture and Forestry Sectoral Plan 2026–2030 (FAF-SP). The new Plan clearly identifies the promotion of sustainable fisheries as a priority, including preventing overfishing and maintaining healthy fish stocks through ecosystem-based fisheries management and sustainable fishing practices.
